COVID-19 FAQs

Home » COVID-19 FAQs

As we navigate these uncertain times, we want to ensure that all of our customers find the products and answers that they need. We’ve outlined a list of our commonly asked questions.

Did your hours change?

Our hours are still the same:

  • Monday through Saturday: 8am -8pm
  • Sunday: 9am -7pm.

We are currently unable to offer special elderly-only hours due to limited resources. We are continuing to follow precautions as outlined by the CDC and the government to ensure social distancing.

Are you all offering curbside pickup, delivery, or order-ahead?

We are currently not able to offer curbside pick-up, delivery, or order-ahead services at this time.

Do you have “________” in stock?

We cannot guarantee that a particular item is in stock due to irregular shipping and delivery schedules. However, you can call specific departments at our store to inquire about a certain product’s availability.

We encourage our customers to come in with a flexible shopping list. Try creating categories instead of specific items (vegetables for dinner, fruits for snacking, yogurt, etc.)

What sanitization/cleaning practices are being implemented?

Our team is working hard to keep Ward’s safe for our employees and customers. We are continuing to clean highly touched surfaces throughout the day. Additionally, our cashiers sanitize their check out lanes following each transaction and we are sanitizing all shopping carts and baskets upon arrival. Hand sanitizer is available at the door and at every check-out lane.

Additionally, we have installed protective glass dividers at every check-out lane to protect both our customers and our team members. We also sanitize the bulk goods section (scoops, handles, etc.) continuously throughout the day.

I’m planning a trip to Ward’s. What should I know before I get there?

Come with an open mind and patience. We are continuing to stock shelves with products and help you while you are shopping. Having a shopping list prepared ahead of time will help you shop faster and smarter. Additionally, try to only bring yourself to shop, as it will reduce exposure and cut down on wait time.

Should I wear a face mask while grocery shopping?

We have signs posted to remind shoppers of the County’s guidelines to please wear masks. However, we do not turn shoppers away who do not have a face mask on.

According to the CDC, “a cloth face covering should be worn whenever people are in a community setting, especially in situations where you may be near people. These settings include grocery stores and pharmacies.” A cloth face mask can be made from various household items.

Are all of your employees wearing face masks?

Following local and CDC guidelines, all of our employees are required to wear face masks while working. However, we do have some team members that have pre-existing medical conditions and are unable to wear a face covering. But, 97% of our team members are able and do wear a face mask while in our store.

Are you still offering weekly specials?

Weekly specials have returned! You can find this week’s sales ad here. Please note: quantities and prices are subject to change without notice due to shipping delays.

Are we allowed to bring reusable items?

Yes, but please bring ONLY clean reusable bags and containers into the store.

My question isn’t on the list. What should I do?

If you can’t find your answer on these FAQs, please call the appropriate department at our store as it relates to your question. For general questions, message us directly on Facebook if your question isn’t answered here and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can! Please refrain from commenting on social posts or submitting a contact form with your inquiry, as we are unable to answer your questions there.
