Dear Whole Foods, Welcome to Gainesville! We’re excited to have another partner in our community who values providing fresh, wholesome, sustainably sourced, and nutritious food to the residents here. In the 1950’s when Ward’s was established, there wasn’t as much demand for providing local products and food. But even back in the day when we had dirt floors and chicken wire doors, our family was committed to partnering with local farmers and vendors to get the freshest produce and best products into the hands of our customers. Over the years, we’ve seen the desire for fresh, sustainably sourced food grow, and as a result more people are taking notice of their food. People now want food that is not only fresh, healthy, and delicious, but is also sustainably grown and distributed. It’s an exciting time to provide good food, especially here in Gainesville, where so many of our residents value their health, vitality, and the environment. Today in 2018, it’s more important than ever to get real food into the hands of the people of Gainesville. From the beginning, we’ve been striving to provide the best local produce and goods to our community, and that hasn’t changed. We’re excited to see another grocery store come to Gainesville that is also so committed to providing the highest quality natural and organic foods, protecting the environment, and supporting our community, and is as excited about natural, fresh, and delicious food as we are! From our family to yours, welcome to Gainesville!
